Visual Conception: Inspired by the Jiangnan water town of Shaoxing and the literary spirit of Lu Xun’s works, the series expresses the artist’s admiration for the literary master while conveying a deep emotional attachment to his native Jiangnan landscape.

Artistic Style: Blending the poetic sensibility of traditional Chinese ink painting with the formal structures of Western modernism, the work employs dense areas of black, white, and gray interwoven with intersecting lines. Through this visual language, recognizable village houses are transformed into semi-abstract geometric forms imbued with a strong sense of rhythm and formal beauty.
