Chapter 4 of the Tao Te Ching: The Tao is like a rushing torrent; its use does not fill it up. It is deep and appears to be the ancestor of all things. Blunt the sharpness, resolve the complications; harmonize the light, unite with the dust. Profound and seemingly ever-present. I do not know whose child it is, like a precursor to the emperor.
