Collection: You Zhou 周游

You Zhou, born into an artistic family in Wuhan, Hubei. Her works have repeatedly won awards at national-level art exhibitions and have been collected by major art museums. She graduated from Southwest University for Nationalities in 2006 and pursued advanced studies at the Advanced Research Program of the School of Arts, Renmin University of China, from 2017 to 2020. Her work A Lovely Date –520 won the top award at the 4th Loudong National Landscape Painting Biennale, while her piece Southern Breeze was selected for the Poetic Jiangnan – National Gongbi Painting Exhibition and acquired by the Yinshanhu Art Museum.

Zhou’s works are fresh, enduring, and imbued with poetic charm. Her landscape paintings are lighthearted and romantic, rich with the breath of daily life, vividly capturing the human touch. Her bird-and-flower paintings are delicate and graceful, where lush blossoms host playful, spirited birds. Proficient in both the meticulous gongbi and the freehand mogu techniques, she skillfully blends the two, creating works that are both elegant and resplendent. Critics have likened her art to embroidery—exquisitely refined and captivating.

周游，来自湖北武汉，出生于艺术世家，作品多次在国家级画展中获奖，作品被大型美术馆收藏。 2006年毕业于西南民族大学，2017-2020年深造于中国人民大学艺术学院高研班，作品《佳期有约520》荣获第四届娄东全国山水画双年展 获奖（最高奖） ，作品《熏风南来》入选诗意江南全国工笔画作品展，被尹山湖美术馆收藏。作品清新隽永，诗意盎然，其创作的山水作品轻松浪漫，生活气息浓厚，人间烟火气跃然纸上。创作的花鸟作品则精致优雅，花木葳蕤之间禽鸟嬉戏，灵动可爱，擅长工笔和没骨画法，将两种技法结合使用，其作品清雅绚烂，有评论家评论其作品如刺绣一般精致美丽。
