The “door seam” is not merely a physical gap, but a way of seeing. It represents fragments, selection, concealment, and suggestion. Within a limited perspective, how do we comprehend the whole? And through incomplete information, how do we construct our understanding of reality?
This art salon centers on the concept of the “door seam,” bringing together artist dialogue and guided exhibition viewing to encourage a more reflective mode of perception. From compositional structure and spatial relationships to emotional nuance and narrative layers, participants will gain insight into the artistic logic and conceptual depth behind the works.

Zhuo, Xiaoguang
Xiaoguang Zhuo is an independent painter and a member of the China Artists Association.
He studied Western painting during the 1980s and graduated from a professional art institution. In 1992, he relocated to Canada, and later moved to Beijing in 2006. He also pursued studies in the Oil Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where he engaged in both artistic practice and research.
His works have been featured in numerous major exhibitions both in China and internationally, and are held in the collections of various art institutions. Notable milestones include participation in significant exhibitions in 2009, and the creation of important series such as Rain Series and Door Seam Series in 2010.
Zhuo’s artistic language integrates Eastern sensibilities with contemporary expression, forming a distinctive voice within an international context.
