Hashem Altakawy is a visual artist, illustrator, and designer of architectural plaster mould. He studied art in "Tehran School of Visual Arts" and while being a student, began teaching, something that has never happened in the history of schools. He pursued art professionally for more than 6 years before moving to Canada. He quickly immersed himself in Toronto art scene and in 2000 opened his own gallery in the Yorkville area.
