Picture Prophecy No.3: Monster Hunt
Picture Prophecy No.2: Monster Hunt
The shattered red ceramics in this work symbolize the fragility of civilization. Once vessels of order, craft, and continuity, they now remain only as fragments—ornamented yet unable to contain or sustain meaning. Red no longer signifies celebration, but functions as a visual alarm.
The translucent jellyfish embodies the “monster” of the present: invisible yet pervasive, soft yet harmful. It cannot be grasped, only felt through pain. Floating above newsprint and ceramic debris, it represents a diffuse force that obscures perception and resists control.
Monster Hunt exposes a paradox of contemporary vision: the desire to seize truth through rigid structures only deepens injury. What confronts us today is not a visible enemy, but an ungraspable, expanding condition—one that transforms viewing itself into a risky act.
